Choosing Decorative Pillows on a Budget

 

How I Chose Decorative Pillows for My Modern Apartment. . .

 

I had just moved into my new apartment in Chicago and was definitely on a budget!  How could I liven up the place on a limited budget?  With decorative pillows, of course!

Initially, my room elements included a contemporary rug with free flowing flowers in black, chocolate brown, red and sage green, a large contemporary painting above my sofa with rectangles, squares and a few circles, and a chocolate brown velvet-like sofa.

To help carry the overall design and style throughout the room, I decided a few decorative pillows might just do the trick.

I found two pillows with red, mustard and black accents. What a great find! They added a sophisticated yet artsy look to the room.

One pillow has a square motif and the other has a circle motif—what a nice addition to my contemporary decorating style.
